Former UTA basketball standout Derrick Obasohan (Houston, Texas) has reached a one-year agreement with the Eztella Basketball Club of Luxembourg's DBBL. Obasohan was a first-team all-Southland Conference last season after ranking second in the league in scoring (16.4 points per game) and 5.9 rebounds per game. Earlier this summer, Obaoshan was invited to a San Antonio Spurs tryout camp. Obasoshan ranks third in career scoring at UTA with 1,308 points and is the seventh player in school history to reach the 1,000-point, 500-rebound club. Eztella Basketball Club won the DBBL title in 2002. Head coach Ron Billingslea projects Obaoshan to play the shooting guard and small forward positions for Eztella.
