ARDMORE, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University golf teams share the lead of the 14th annual Perry Maxwell Invitational after Saturday's two rounds of play.
Oklahoma (545) shot the day's low round, 267, to jump from fifth place into a tie for the lead with the Cowboys at 15 under.
UTA struggled from the get-go at the par-70 Dornick Hills Country Club. junior Tyrone Mordt fired a two-round total of four-over-par 144 after rounds of 73 and 71 for the bst score of the day for the Mavericks.
Augusta State (546) and Tulsa are tied for third place, one stroke behind the leaders. Georgia (552, -8) is fourth, SMU (556, -4) is sixth, Auburn (557, -3) is seventh, Penn State (566, +6) is eighth, Colorado (573, +13) is ninth, Texas-Arlington (582, +22) is 10th and Oklahoma City (585, +25) is 11th.

The final round begins at 8 a.m. Sunday.
