FORT WORTH, Texas - UT Arlingtorn senior sprinter Ellen Garrison qualified for the upcoming NCAA regionals in two events - the women's 100 meters and the 4x100-meter relay during Saturday's 2006 TCU Invitational at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex.

Garrison finished fourth in the 100 meters with a region-qualifying time of 11.64. She also anchored the 4x100-meter relay team that qualified with a time of 45.53. Garrison is joined by Latasha Watson, Kourtnee Jones and Kim Hargers.

Garrison capped off a busy day with a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters with a 23.98.

Other top performances during Saturday's meet include:

Sophomore distance runner Jodi Hulett placing third in the women's 5,000 meters with a time of 18:02.04.

Vanessa Maida took fourth in the pole vault after clearing a height of 11-feet, 11.75-inches.

Senior Mandy McGee took fifth place in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.59.
