FORT WORTH, Texas - UT Arlington junior jumper Quinchun Carey will return to the NCAA regional while junior sprinter Jared Connaughton added his name to the regional roster in two events - the men's 100 meters and the 4x100-meter relay - to highlight the Mavericks' performances at the 2006 TCU Invitational at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex Saturday.

Carey cleared 7.49 meters (24-07) to take second place in the long jump event.

Connaughton clipped .30 seconds off his personal-best time and recorded a 10.28 in the 100 meters. He was the anchor leg of the 4x100-meter relay that earned a trip to Austin in May with a time of 40.47 seconds. The foursome includes Coby Morrison, Carey, freshman Byron Majors and Connaughton.
