DALLAS, Texas - UT Arlington men's tennis dropped its third straight match 5-2 on Wednesday to No. 61 SMU. The Mavs drop to 9-10 on the season.

Freshman Gonzalo Bienzobas picked up UTA's first point of the match in the No. 6 singles slot 6-4 6-3 over Chris Hooshyar.

In the No. 1 singles match junior Diego Mattar won 7-5 7-5 over No. 72 Alex Skrypko. It is Mattar's first win of the season over a ranked opponent.

The Mavs will be back in action when they travel to Beaumont for a Southland Conference match with Lamar at 2 p.m.
