UTA at TCU Game Notes 
ARLINGTON, Texas UT Arlington women's basketball team is set for its final non-conference game of the season on Friday at TCU. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Ft. Worth.
Current SLC Player of the Week, Maryann Abanobi will lead the charge as the Mavericks play one last game in preparation for their conference opener on Thursday against Central Arkansas. Abanobi leads the Mavs on the season with 15.9 points a game.
Scouting TCU...
TCU is 6-7 on the season and is coming off a 83-51 win over Grambling State on Dec. 29. Danielle Nunn led the Horned Frogs with 12 points while Emily Carter added 11 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Adrianne Ross leads TCU on the season averaging 15.1 points a game, while Lori Butler-Rayford leads the team on the glass with 7.7 rebounds a game.
Series History with the Horned Frogs...
This will be the 28th meeting between UT Arlington and TCU. The Horned Frogs hold a slight 14-13 edge in the series, but does lead 12-2 in games played in Ft. Worth. The last time these two teams met was Dec. 10 of last season with the Horned Frog prevailing 71-67 in Ft. Worth.
The Coaches...
Samantha Morrow became the eighth head coach in UT Arlington women's basketball history in August. She has posted a 5-5 record in her first season coaching at the collegiate level after amassing a 413-77 (.843) record at the high school level. Jeff Mittie is in his 9th season with TCU and 16th season as a college head coach. With a 6-7 record this season he holds a 179-90 record with the Horned Frogs.
Looking Ahead...
The Mavs will be opening Southland Conference play on Thursday, Jan. 10 when they welcome Central Arkansas to Texas Hall for a 7 p.m. tip.
