GOLF SET TO COMPETE IN EIGHTH ANNUAL TURTLE BAY INTERCOLLEGIATE

Arlington, Texas - The UT Arlington men's golf team will travel to Oahu, Hawaii where they will compete in the Eighth annual Turtle Bay Intercollegiate beginning Monday, Nov. 10 and continues through Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Turtle Bay Resort Golf Course.

The tournament's 19-team field includes Hawai`i along with Baylor, Cal Poly, College of Charleston, Long Beach State, Louisiana-Monroe, Mississippi State, New Mexico State, Ohio State, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Point Loma Nazarene, Saint Mary's, San Diego State, Santa Clara, Texas, UC Irvine, and UNLV.

Teams will play 18 holes each day and compete on two different courses. Rounds one and three will be played on the George Fazio Course, a par-72, 6,535 yard course. Round two will be played on the Palmer Course, a par-72, 7,218 yard course.

The Mavericks recorded a score last season of 16-under-par 272 as the Mavericks set a new 54-hole scoring record for third place at the 2007 Turtle Bay Intercollegiate Tournament.
