ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington women's basketball won 69-46 over Lamar in a Southland Conference match-up on Thursday night at Texas Hall. Senior Maryann Abanobi led all scorers with 23 points, hitting 5-of-6 from beyond the arch.

The Mavericks and Cardinals matched points early in the first half, but a layup from senior Tiffeny Riles at the 10:21 mark sparked a 19-5 UTA run to lead by 15 (28-13) with four minutes left in the half.
