Lady Mav Alum Koi Love Signs with WBPA’s Bay City Blaze

OAKLAND, Calif. – Former UT Arlington women's basketball standout, Koi Love has signed a professional contract with the Bay City Blaze of the Women's Basketball Players Association (WBPA), becoming the latest Maverick to continue her career at the professional level.
 
Love made an immediate impact during her lone season with the Mavericks. She started in 30 out of 32 games, emerging as one of UTA's top all-around performers. She averaged 16.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, while shooting an efficient 51.9% from the field. Love totaled 434 points, 193 rebounds and 91 assists, adding 53 steals and 20 blocks on the season.
 
The Orlando, Florida native concluded her five-year collegiate career that included stops at Vanderbilt, Arizona, USC and UT Arlington. Across in 114 games, she surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone, finishing with 1,252 career points, 627 rebounds, 216 assists, 178 steals and 58 blocks.
