Rio Pinar Results Through Round 2 
ORLANDO, FLA - - The UT Arlington golf team stands in a tie for seventh place after the first two rounds of the Rio Pinar Inviational in Orlando, Fla.
The Mavericks shot a first-round score of 290 in the opening tournament of the spring season and followed it with an even-par 288 in the afternoon round. UTA is tied with Memphis, 15 strokes behind leader and tournament host Central Florida.
Michael Van deVenter started the spring season with a 3-under-par 69. His second-round 72 puts him in a tie for 11th among individuals. Bobby Massa shot an even-par 144 for 26th place. Zack Reeves and Zach Fischer shot a 146 (36th) and 147 (44th), respectively, on Opening Day.
The Mavericks return to the course today for an 8 a.m. tee time.
