SLC Tournament Final Results 
LAKE CHARLES, La. - - The UT Arlington men's golf team shot a final-round 296 and fell to sixth place after Day 3 of the Southland Conference Golf Championships on Wednesday in Lake Charles, La.
UTA, ranked No. 50 in the nation, finished with a 33-over-par 302-299-296--897 and were among a crowd a teams battling for second place. Defending conference champion Lamar ran away with the title, shooting a 2-over-par 866. The Cardinals were 28 strokes better than their nearest competitor.
Texas State and Sam Houston State tied for second with scores of 894.
Southeastern Louisiana and UTSA were two strokes out of second with an 896, followed by the Mavericks at 897.
Bobby Massa finished strong, shooting a final-round 1-under-par 71 and finishing in a tie for eight among the individuals. Massa had a 76-74-71--221 to lead the Mavericks. Zack Reeves was 13th with a 72-76-75--223, and Kevin Carrigan carded a 75-72-77--224 to finish in a tie for 14th in his first SLC Tournament.
Zack Fischer and Michael Van deVenter were 37th and 39th, respectively.
Lamar placed four golfers among the Top 10.
