Arlington, Texas - The University of Texas at Arlington head women's basketball coach Samantha Morrow announced that former Hardin-Simmons standout Rachel Cisneroz has been named the Director of Operations for the women`s basketball program.

"I think Ashley Purgason did a great job for us last year and she's really helped Rachel by giving her some direction on what to expect on the job," said Morrow. "It's great to have someone with her experience in computers and the different things that she can do."

"Rachel has played in college and just the fact that she has that experience she understands the expectations. Her knowledge with computers is phenomenal and it will be great for our program," added Morrow.

Cisneroz led the Cowgirls to a 21-6 overall record, including a 16-4 mark in league play and was a Second Team All-Conference recipient in her senior campaign.

She concluded her career at Hardin-Simmons with a 88-22 record and was a Academic All-ASC award winner as a sophomore.

While at Hardin-Simmons, Cisneroz was a member of the Media Production Staff where she was responsible for video editing, creating commercials, involved in video shoots, and was also an integral part of all television productions for the university.

"It feels really good to be a part of the UTA staff - I`ve known coach Morrow for a really long time and to finally to be able to work with her feels really good, and I know this is the place I want to be," said Cisneroz. "Starting here has already been great and I love it and everyone is amazing."

The newly-named Director of Operations will be responsible for the daily operations of the women's basketball office, which includes grading film, cutting videos, team travel and statistics.

Cisneroz graduated from Hardin-Simmons in May of 2008 with a major in Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations and Advertising.
