UTA-Oklahoma Box Score
Final Stats
NORMAN, Okla. - Eld-hah Kaswatuka recorded six kills, but host Oklahoma made short work of UT Arlington, beating the Mavs 3-0 in the second day of the Nike Invitational.
Suzy Boulavsky and Sarah Freudenrich tallied 11 kills each and the Sooners breezed to a 25-17, 25-15, 25-19 win at McCasland FieldHouse.
A day after giving Miami (Fla.) a real test, UTA struggled on the attack. The Mavs finished with more errors, 18, than kills, 22.
"I don't think we came out with the right mindset today," UTA coach Diane Seymour said. "We were pretty good yesterday and I don't think we set our sights on winning the match today. Offensively we were horrible. Our setting wasn't so good today either and our hitters struggled to get into any kind of rhythm whatsoever."
Setter Brianne Barker led the way for Oklahoma (1-1). She had 32 assists and also earned three of the team's seven service aces.
Seymour said she thought her team defended the serve pretty well and credited OU's strong service game for forcing problems.
Raegan Daniel finished with 15 assists for the Mavericks (0-2). She also had a team-high six digs.
UT Arlington concludes its Nike Invitational trip this evening at 5 p.m. against Wichita State.
