San Antonio, Texas - The UT Arlington golf team finds itself tied for tenth after day one of the Lone Star Invitational. After the first round, the Mavericks have a team score or four-over par 292 at Briggs Ranch Golf Course in San Antonio. The Mavericks were are by senior Jamey Taylor who is tied for seventeenth place after shooting a one-under par 71. Senior Pierre Carlsson is tied for thirty-first with a score of 73 after the first round. Juniors Paul McConnell and Hunter Brown are tied for forty-fifth and each finished with a score of two-over par 74. Cash Wilkerson finished the day with a score of five-over par 77 and is tied for seventieth place. After round one, New Mexico's John Catlin leads the tournament with a score of eight-under par 64. The Mavericks tee off Monday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. for round two of the tournament.
