ARLINGTON, Tex. - UT Arlington will host the 29th Annual Baseball Alumni Weekend from Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

The two-day event opens with a golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 30 at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie. On Saturday, Oct. 1, UTA will hold its 29th annual baseball Alumni Game at Clay Gould Ballpark in Arlington.

The 19th annual golf tournament will hold registration and lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. The tournament will open at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. The event will also feature a post-tournament dinner and an award ceremony.

The format of the tournament is a four-man scramble and there will be prizes for team scores, longest drive and closest to the pin. The $90 per player entry fee includes green fee, cart, lunch, two drink tickets and the dinner. There will also be giveaways such as a UTA hat and an alumni T-shirt.

Payments for the golf tournament must be made in cash. No checks will be accepted. Participants should also bring $10 in cash for mulligans and raffle tickets. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m.

Saturday's festivities open with batting practice at noon. The home run derby begins at 1 p.m. with first pitch of the Alumni Game scheduled for 1:45 p.m. There will be a post-game barbeque following the game.
