UT Arlington's school record winning streak is still intact going to Stephen F. Austin for Wednesday night's Southland Conference meeting. The Mavericks (19-5) are leading the SLC West Division at 11-0, while the Lumberjacks are 8-3 in the West.

UTA is also receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll for the first time this season.

The current 15-game unbeaten run smashed the previous school mark of nine straight set during the 2003-04 season. UTA now holds the second longest winning streak in the nation after Murray State (23) fell to Tennessee State last week. The only other team with a longer winning streak is Kentucky at 17.

UTA beat SFA 63-54 on Jan. 21 in Arlington. SFA is currently second in the division and is on a two-game winning streak.

"We have a great opportunity ahead of us in our challenge to win on the road against a very good, very well-coached SFA team," UT Arlington coach Scott Cross said. "SFA has been playing very well, and I know that they will bring their 'A-Game' against us tomorrow night. We must play extremely hard and be very focused and intense on the defensive end of the floor and must do a great job on the glass."

LaMarcus Reed leads UTA in overall scoring at 16.8 points per game. Reed also leads the conference overall in scoring at 19.7 points per game. Bo Ingram is averaging 12.1 points for the Mavs.

The Mavericks are No. 18 in the collegeinsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll and No. 95 in the USA Today Sagarin rankings. UTA is also checks in 49th on The State of College Basketball Ratings, which is available at bbstate.com.
