Final Stats

Natchitoches, La. -

UT Arlington lost their tenth conference game of the season as they fell 86-70 to the Northwestern State Lady Demons.

"Northwestern State shot the ball exceptionally well, 47 percent from beyond the three point line," UT Arlington head coach Samantha Morrow said.

Sabreena DeNure finished the game with a team-high 20 points, while grabbing three rebounds and picking up four assists.

At the end of the first half, the Mavericks headed to the locker room trailing by 10, 45-35.

Despite leading in points in the paint (38-30) and second chance points (17-14), the Mavericks were unable to slow down the Lady Demons' offense.

Northwestern State's Jordi James finished the game with 26 points with 18 of those coming in the first half. Trudy Armstead also scored 18 points in the first half and completed the game with 30 points and 11 rebounds.

"We just didn't have an answer for the two of them. They played well and we were in foul trouble early and that hurt us," Morrow said.

The Mavericks head to Corpus Christi to take on the Islanders Wednesday at 7 p.m.
