Corpus Christi, Texas - UT Arlington lost its 11th conference game of the season 74-54 to the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders.
Junior and Corpus Christi native Sabreena DeNure started of the game with a three to give the Mavericks an early lead.
The Islanders answered back, leading for the rest of the first half and the Mavericks headed to the locker room down 30-26.
Texas A&M Corpus Christi came out of the locker room ready to play, going on a 12-5 run to start the second half.
Sophomore Briana Walker picked up her second double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Sabreena DeNure completed the game with nine points and six rebounds.
Corpus Christi's Myeisha Myles and Alisa Roberts each finished the game with 15 points and a combined 13 rebounds for the Islanders.
The Mavericks head to San Antonio Saturday to take on the UTSA Roadrunners at 4 p.m.
