THE GAME: The UT Arlington women's basketball team faces Southland Conference's Incarnate Word for its home opener Thursday at College Park Center in Arlington. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m. as Homecoming Week continues.

TICKETS: Tickets for games in sections 101, 103, 108, 110 are priced at $10. Other lower level seats, located in sections 104 and 107, are just $5, which is a 37% discount of price from a year ago. Single game tickets for UT Arlington students remain at only $3. Season tickets are also still on sale. Tickets start at just $75 for seats in sections 104 and 107 while seats in sections 101, 103, 108 and 110 (which are sideline seats) are $125. These tickets are good for all 15 men's basketball home games and also include six women's games which will be played as doubleheaders.
LAST TIME OUT: After a 0-2 weekend, UTA hopes to bounce back from a shooting struggle against Houston Baptist and No. 21 Oklahoma State. Despite a losing start to the season, senior Briana Walker made an impact on both ends of the floor. The Fort Worth, Texas native posted her first double-double of the season with 31 points and 15 rebounds against the Huskies. She also tied with Laila Suleiman for leading scorer with 11 points against the Cowgirls. Desherra Nwanguma was second in scoring both nights and finished the weekend with 22 rebounds.
SERIES HISTORY: UT Arlington leads the all-time series 1-0. The Mavericks defeated UIW 101-54, Nov. 29, 1990 in Arlington.
MAVERICKS IN 2013-14: UT Arlington returns eight letterwinners and two starters from last year. The Mavericks welcome two freshmen as well as four transfers (one sophomore and three juniors) for the 2013-14 season.
