ARLINGTON, Texas - Former Texas Rangers CEO and Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan is the featured guest at the First Pitch Banquet on Jan. 17. Rangers Ballpark in Arlington is hosting the event at the Capital 1 Club at 6:30 p.m.

UT Arlington coach Darin Thomas will look back on the 2013 season, which included a Western Athletic Conference title, and preview 2014, the first season in the Sun Belt.

"I'm looking forward to a big night for our program," Thomas said. "I'm also extremely excited to have Nolan Ryan be our headline speaker."

The evening includes the presentation of the 2013 WAC championship rings. Members of the 2014 baseball team and former UTA players will also be in attendance.

Tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for students. Parking at Rangers Ballpark is available in Lot J and access to the Capital 1 Club will be through the Home Plate gate entrance.
