THE GAME: The UT Arlington women's basketball faces Western Athletic Conference opponent Texas-Pan American as the Mavericks continue their search for a victory. This matchup marks the 10th meeting between the two schools. The last time the teams met, the Broncs defeated the Mavs 59-57 in Arlington last season.

SCOUTING TEXAS-PAN AMERICAN: The Broncs are 5-4 on the season with junior Brittany Bush averaging 9.6 points and 8.1 points per game. Sophomore Kaylynn Boyd is averaging 9.8 points per game as the team averaging 63.2 points. UTPA lost its last two games, including a 73-47 loss to metroplex neighbor TCU.
LAST TIME OUT: The UT Arlington women's basketball team fell 85-65 Saturday afternoon to Northern Arizona at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome. Desherra Nwanguma and Briana Walker led UT Arlington with 14 points each. Laila Suleiman hit three 3-pointers to help her to 11 points.
WHO TO WATCH: Senior Briana Walker is leading the Mavericks in scoring at 15.7 points per game, while also grabbing 8.3 boards per game. The Fort Worth native has two double-doubles this season and is the points leader with 141.
GERLICH ERA: Krista Gerlich is in her first season at UTA after seven years at West Texas A&M. Gerlich compiled an impressive record of 168-53 in seven seasons at West Texas A&M. Her teams won four consecutive South Division Lone Star Conference titles from 2007-10 and three consecutive Lone Star Conference championships from 2008-10.
GERLICH QUOTABLE: "We're going to have to battle the loud gym and them being comfortable in their won gym and shooting the ball well. They're going to play hard, but we can match that."
LINEUP CHANGE: Coach Gerlich has used four lineups in nine games so far this season. Seniors Laila Suleiman and Desherra Nwanguma, as well as junior transfer Tahlia Pope, have remained starters in all nine contests.
MAVERICKS IN 2013-14: UT Arlington returns eight letterwinners and two starters from last year. The Mavericks welcome two freshmen as well as four transfers (one sophomore and three juniors) for the 2013-14 season.
