THE GAME: The UT Arlington women's basketball team hosts North Texas Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at College Park Center as the Mavericks continue their hunt for a victory. This marks the 56th meeting between the two schools with North Texas leading by just one game, 28-27. The last time the two schools met, the Mavericks defeated the Mean Green 59-50 last season.

TICKETS: Tickets for games in sections 101, 103, 108, 110 are priced at $10. Other lower level seats, located in sections 104 and 107, are just $5. Single game tickets for UT Arlington students remain at only $3. Season tickets are also still on sale. Tickets start at just $75 for seats in sections 104 and 107 while seats in sections 101, 103, 108 and 110 (which are sideline seats) are $125. These tickets are good for all 15 men's basketball home games and also include six women's games which will be played as doubleheaders.
SCOUTING NORTH TEXAS: The Mean Green are coming off two-straight losses including a 2-point overtime loss to Grand Canyon. Junior Briesha Wynn is paving the way for North Texas with 11.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Assistant coach Karen Blair is in her first season with the Mean Green after spending two season as the lead assistant with the Mavericks.
LAST TIME OUT: UT Arlington women's basketball fell 79-72 Wednesday night to Abilene Christian for its seventh loss of the season. Senior Briana Walker had a double-double by the end of the first half with 27 points and 12 rebounds, and finished the game with a career-high 32 points and 15 boards. Junior Tahlia Pope scored a UTA career-high 15 points, and was a board short of her first double-double as a Maverick with nine rebounds.
WHO TO WATCH: Senior Briana Walker is leading the Mavericks in scoring with16.3 points per game, while also grabbing 8.7 boards per game. The Fort Worth native is coming off her second double-double of the season after posting a career high 34 points against the ACU Wildcats.
GERLICH ERA: Krista Gerlich is in her first season at UTA after seven years at West Texas A&M. Gerlich compiled an impressive record of 168-53 in seven seasons at West Texas A&M. Her teams won four consecutive South Division Lone Star Conference titles from 2007-10 and three consecutive Lone Star Conference championships from 2008-10.
LINEUP CHANGE: Coach Gerlich has used three lineups in seven games so far this season. Seniors Laila Suleiman and Desherra Nwanguma, as well as junior transfer Tahlia Pope have remained starters for all seven contests. Freshman Allea Harris and Allyson Te'o have made their way into the starting five.
MAVERICKS IN 2013-14: UT Arlington returns eight letterwinners and two starters from last year. The Mavericks welcome two freshmen as well as four transfers (one sophomore and three juniors) for the 2013-14 season.
