ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington women's basketball team continues their individual practices this week in groups of four.
"They're going well. I think our players are just getting acclimated to out coaching staff and how we do things and we are also figuring out a lot of things about them," UT Arlington assisitant coach Talby Justus said. "They are working hard and doing the things we're asking them to do."
The women continue individuals through the end of the week and are able to have team practices starting next week. The program is allowed a maximum of eight hours together, but only two hours with a basketball.
"So far I really like individuals," senior Desherra Nwanguma said. "We're learning a lot, working hard, getting stronger, improving and making changes. The coaches told us to buy in and we are so we are improving and making large strides."
The Mavericks begin their season Nov. 8 at Houston Baptist at 7 p.m. and will host their first home game Nov. 14 against Incarnate Word at 1 p.m. at College Park Center.
