THE GAME: UT Arlington women's basketball is coming off its first set of back-to-back victories since the 2009-10 season. The Mavericks head to Monroe, Louisiana to face the Warhawks at Fant-Ewing Coliseum Wednesday at 7 p.m. Last time these two schools met ULM defeated UTA 84-67 in Arlington.

SCOUTING ULM: ULM is 8-14 overall and 4-6 in Sun Belt Conference action. The Warharks are led by senior forward Ashleigh Simmons, who is averaging 15. 4 points and 8 rebounds per game. ULM has won one conference game at home after defeating Texas State in January.

LAST TIME OUT: UT Arlington won its second consecutive Sun Belt Conference game by overwhelming UL Lafayette 73-54 Thursday afternoon at College Park Center. Senior center Desherra Nwanguma scored a career-high 34 points, while picking up her sixth double-double of the season by grabbing 13 rebounds. Nwanguma knocked down 13 of 17 shots and 8 of 9 free throws. She also blocked three shots.

WHO TO WATCH: Nwanguma is the current Sun Belt Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 34 points in Thursday's 73-54 win over UL Lafayette. She also picked up her sixth double-double of the season by grabbing 13 rebounds. Nwanguma knocked down 13 of 17 shots and 8 of 9 free throws, and blocked three shots against ULL. Nwanguma is leading the league with 10.1 rebounds per game, shooting 57.7 percent from the floor and averages 1.8 blocks per contest in SBC play. Nwanguma recorded 37 minutes of playing time against ULL and is averaging 32.2 minutes per game in SBC action.

GERLICH ERA: Krista Gerlich is in her first season at UTA after seven years at West Texas A&M. Gerlich compiled an impressive record of 168-53 in seven seasons at West Texas A&M. Her teams won four consecutive South Division Lone Star Conference titles from 2007-10 and three consecutive Lone Star Conference championships from 2008-10.

LINEUP CHANGE: Coach Gerlich has used five lineups in 21 games so far this season. Senior Laila Suleiman and junior transfer Tahlia Pope have remained starters in all 21 contests.

MAVERICKS IN 2013-14: UT Arlington returns eight letterwinners and two starters from last year. The Mavericks welcome two freshmen as well as four transfers (one sophomore and three juniors) for the 2013-14 season.
