Final Stats

SACRAMENTO, California - UT Arlington women's tennis defeated Sacramento State 4-2 Tuesday afternoon.

"This was a great comeback after a great doubles play," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "I'm proud of the way the women focused on their task and rose their level of play to win a tough road match."

The Maverick improved to 8-6 overall and 2-1 on this four-match road trip.

Sacramento State swept doubles competition to claim the 1-0 lead over the Mavericks. UT Arlington regrouped and won four single matches to claim the victory.

UTA continues its California road trip as the Mavericks take on former Western Athletic Conference foe San Jose State Wednesday at 12 p.m.
