DENTON, Texas – The UT Arlington women's tennis team has concluded their first fall tournament with the completion of the three-day Diving Eagle Invite that was hosted by North Texas from the Waranch Tennis Complex.
The Mavericks weekend was highlighted by
Tasnime Ahamout who went a perfect 3-0 in singles action and 3-0 in doubles action in her UTA debut. In doubles action, Ahamout teamed up with
Natalia Gonzalez to finish perfect in doubles play over the weekend. Gonzalez went 2-1 in singles action to wrap up her Mavs debut.
Vanja Cado went 2-1 in singles action and 1-1 in doubles action over the tournament. Cado teamed up with
Sofia Selle in doubles play to go 1-1 over the weekend. Selle finished 1-2 in singles action over the weekend.
The pairing of Elizaveta Mladentseva and
Diana Kaibara went 1-1 in doubles action over the weekend. Mladentseva finished 1-2 in singles action while Kaibara dropped her lone singles match over the weekend.
The Mavs will return to action in late September for the three-day ACU Invite that begins on Friday, September 26, and concludes on Sunday, September 28.
