CABO, Mexico - UT Arlington is tied for fourth after Sunday's first round of the Cabo Del Sol Invitational. The Mavericks fired a 3-over-par 291 to match CSU-Northridge, and sit seven shots back of leader Georgia State.
Aaron Guanlao and Zach Galliford each shot 1-under 71s to tie for 10th on the player leaderboard. Tanner Gore had an even-par 72 to sit tied for 14th. Jake Greenspoon and Andrew Sirowy each had 77s to tie for 37th.
Josh Radcliff, Harrison Moore and Jaret Brewer are competing as individuals. Radcliff and Moore were tied for 21st after 2-over 74s. Brewer shot a 92.
UTA had its most success on Par 3s, shooting 2 over for the day and a stroke average of 3.10. The Mavericks had 57 pars in the first round, which was second to CSU-Northridge's 60.
The second round of the 54-hole tournament is Monday.
