ARLINGTON, Texas -- UT Arlington women's basketball coach Krista Gerlich announced the hiring of Scott Imes as Director of Operations.

"I am very excited to have Scott on board," Gerlich said. "He has a lot of the essentials for the position to help us run the program behind the scenes. He is really ambitious and organized and is excited about the opportunity. He has a really bright future in the women's game and it is a great starting point for him and us as well. I think it is a steal for us."

Imes graduated from Indiana in 2009 with a degree in kinesiology and received his master's at UT Arlington in 2013.

He spent seven seasons as an assistant coach in various high school programs, most recently at Frisco Centennial High School.

The Lady Mavericks schedule tips off on Nov. 13 at Baylor as part of the 2015 Women's Preseason National Invitation Tournament.
