Postgame Notes
- UTA improved to 19-6 on the season and 9-3 in the Sun Belt. The Mavericks return to action Saturday (Feb. 18) at Georgia State (1:15 p.m., ESPN3).
- Little Rock fell to 13-13 on the season and 4-9 in the Sun Belt. The Trojans are in action Friday at in-state rival Arkansas State (7:30 p.m., ESPN3).
- Little Rock's starting lineup consisted of forwards Stetson Billings, Maurius Hill and Oliver Black and guards Deondre Burns and Marcus Johnson Jr.
- Kaelon Wilson was UTA's first substitute off the bench at the 15:28 mark of the first half.
- Junior forward Kevin Hervey registered 5 rebounds against Little Rock. The Arlington native now has 533 in his career and passed Bobby Kenyon (531, 1988-92) for 18th on the UTA record book for career rebounds.
- Hervey scored 20 points in today's game against Little Rock. He has scored in double-figures in 18-straight appearances (He missed the Troy game) and 21 times this season.
- Hervey connected on four 3-point field goals, equaling his season high for most made in a single game. His career high was five at Troy on Jan. 16, 2016.
- Hervey surpassed the 20-point barrier for the eighth time this season and the 16th time in his career. He has scored 20 or more points in seven of his last 10 appearances.
- Jalen Jones scored 20 points tonight against Little Rock. The Cedar Hill native has surpassed the 20-point barrier four times this season.
- Jones set a career-high with five steals against Little Rock. His previous high was four against ULM on Jan. 21, 2017 in College Park Center.
- Wilson set a career-high with four steals against Little Rock. His previous high was three, which he achieved four times. His previous season high was two.
- The victory over Little Rock extended UTA's home win streak to 14-straight games, dating back to Feb. 20, 2016 against ULM. UTA is 11-0 at home this season.
- The victory over Little Rock, combined with losses by Arkansas State, Georgia State and Georgia Southern puts UTA into first place in the Sun Belt Conference standings with a 9-3 league record. Arkansas State, Georgia State and Georgia Southern are a half game bck at 9-4.
