Postgame Notes
- UTA improved to 16-6 on the season and 6-3 in the Sun Belt. The Mavericks remain at home Saturday, Feb. 11 for a 4:30 p.m. (CST) game against Arkansas State in College Park Center.
- Texas State dropped to 13-8 on the season and 6-3 in the Sun Belt. The Bobcats return home next weekend for games against Little Rock (Saturday) and Arkansas State (Monday).
- The victory over Texas State extended UTA's home win streak to 12-straight games, dating back to Feb. 20, 2016 against ULM. UTA is 9-0 at home this season.
- Texas State's starting lineup consisted of forwards Kavin Gilder-Tilbury and Immanuel King and guards Bobby Conley, Ojai Black and Nijal Pearson.
- Senior forward Jorge Bilbao registered 4 rebounds against Texas State, giving him 572 in his career and ranking 12th on the program's list for career rebounds. He surpassed Roy Johnson (569, 2000-04) and Tommy Moffitt (571, 2007-10).
- Hervey scored 19 points in today's game against Texas State. He has scored in double-figures in 16-straight appearances (He missed the Troy game) and 19 times this season.
- UTA's announced attendance of 3,483 is the second largest home crowd this season in College Park Center.
- During a halftime shooting promotion sponsored by eSix Sportswear, Jimmy Voravongsy ($100) and Glen Belcher ($500) each won cash prizes. Six lucky contestants had a chance to win as much as $10,006 by making consecutive shots from varying distance.
- Junior forward Kevin Hervey scored 19 points to go with 10 rebounds against Texas State. The Arlington native posted his ninth double-double of the season and the 17th of his career. It marked his third-straight double-double (at Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina).
