UTA Season Basketball Tickets On Sale

July 18, 2017

Purchase Tickets | Men's Schedule | Women's Schedule

ARLINGTON -- Optimism is running high for another successful basketball season at UT Arlington as the Maverick athletic department announced season tickets for the upcoming season are available for purchase.

For as little as $99 per seat, fans can enjoy all 30 UTA men and women's basketball home games in the state-of-the-art College Park Center on the UTA campus. That comes out to $3.33 per game.

A season ticket provides a reserved seat at every home game, including non-conference games against some top-notch opponents. Single game tickets are scheduled to go on sale on October 3.

Season tickets in center court Maverick Club sections (102, 109) are available for $200 per seat, in addition to a minimum $250 donation per seat. Courtside section seats are available for $150 each, while baseline section seating is available for just $99.

The defending Sun Belt Conference champion UTA men's team returns 11 letterwinners from last year's side that won a program-record 27 games and fell just four points shy of advancing to Madison Square Garden for the National Invitation Tournament semifinals.

Maverick fans will be treated to one of the one-two punches in college basketball with the return of Sun Belt Player of the Year Kevin Hervey and dynamic point guard Erick Neal. The duo has been listed by several college basketball websites as one of the best inside-outside combinations in the country.

Head coach Scott Cross also welcomes back senior guard Kaelon Wilson, the team's third-leading returning scorer who averaged 15 points during the team's NIT run. Seniors Nathan Hawkins, Julian Harris and Link Kabadyundi also return after combining to make 101 combined appearances last season.

The UTA women's program has enjoyed a recent surge to prominence under head coach Krista Gerlich. The Lady Mavs earned recognition in the national top 25 last season, earned the third-most victories in program history and advanced to the postseason.

The Lady Mavs welcome back a talented and experienced group, headlined by one of the most accomplished players in program history in senior center Rebekah VanDijk. The Nazareth native was the last season's preseason Sun Belt Player of the Year, earned first team all-league honors and is on pace to become the program's al-time leader in several statistical categories.

Senior guard Cierra Johnson, the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year, started 30 games a year ago and led the league in steals. Seven returning Lady Mavs earned experience as a starter last season, which should bode well for a squad that welcomes seven newcomers.

The UTA men and women's programs combined to win 73.1 percent of their games last season, which tied as the 18th best winning percentage among the 350-plus NCAA Division I programs nationally and the second-best among Division I programs in the state of Texas.
