MOBILE, Ala. – The UT Arlington volleyball team had its 4-match winning streak snapped at South Alabama on Saturday night (Oct. 20). The Mavs took the first set 25-20, but the Jags responded and took the next three games (25-16, 25-21, 27-25) en route to the win.
With the loss, the Mavericks fall to 13-8 overall and 7-4 in Sun Belt action, while the Jags improve to 11-12 on the season and 5-5 in league play.
Madison Hill finished with a match-high 15 kills. She also hit .565 and added three blocks and a pair of digs.
Zhanelle Geathers and
Brooke Townsend registered 10 kills each.
Kylie Jedlicka tallied nine kills and seven digs.
Alex Janak recorded 25 assists and seven digs, while
Madelyn St. Germain finished with a match-high 14 digs.
The Mavs return to action next weekend when they host ULM (Oct. 26) and Louisiana (Oct. 27) at College Park Center. First serve for both matches is set for 6:30 p.m.
