ATLANTA, Ga. – The No. 5 UTA volleyball team fell to No. 4 seed Little Rock (25-16, 25-18, 25-21) in the quarterfinal round of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Championships on Friday night (Nov. 16) on the campus of Georgia State.
With the loss, the Mavericks fall to 16-12 overall, while Little Rock improves to 19-11 and advances to the semifinals at No. 1 seed Texas State.
The Mavericks hit .070 and committed 22 attack errors, while the Trojans hit .250 for the match and committed 16 attack errors.
Kylie Jedlicka led all hitters with 13 kills. She also added nine digs and hit .360 for the match.
Madison Hill finished with six kills, three digs and a pair of blocks, while
Zhanelle Geathers registered five kills and two blocks.
Alex Janak led the UTA offense with 18 assists and four digs.
