UTA to host WBCA Coaches' Classroom series at College Park Center

ARLINGTON, Texas
- UT Arlington's College Park Center was chosen as one of six locations across the United States to host the WBCA Coaches' Classroom: Regional Whiteboard Series, with women's basketball coach Krista Gerlich scheduled to speak during the event.

In collaboration with the WNBA's Dallas Wings, CPC will host the event on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. and is open to coaches at every level of women's and girls' basketball with no cost to attendees. Registration is open for the UTA event through Friday, Aug. 3. 

"What a great opportunity for UTA to host this clinic, but also our surrounding high school and college coaches to come talk hoops for a day at College Park Center," Gerlich said. "I'm looking forward to learning from some of the best in the country and I want to thank the WBCA for helping grow the game."

Featured speakers for the Arlington stop include Dallas Wings coach Fred Williams, UTEP's Kevin Baker, Duncanville High School's Cathy Self-Morgan and Texas A&M assistant Bob Starkey.

Other host sites chosen for the WBCA series are Atlanta, Ga., Spokane, Wash., Boston, Mass., Queens, N.Y. and Wichita, Kan.
