ARLINGTON, Texas - There was an influx of traffic on the UT Arlington campus on Monday as Welcome Week was kicked off with the annual Mav Move-In day, helped along by all 15 of UTA's Division I athletic programs who were out and about to help new students get acclimated to the University.

Brittany Wyllie said. "It is super fun to get out here and have all the teams out here to help. It is a super fun way to help promote our programs as well as everyone out here."
The Maverick season officially kicks off on Friday when UTA volleyball takes the court at Arizona State. The Mavs will serve up the season opener against Air Force on Aug. 31 as part of a three-match home tournament at College Park Center.
With the start of classes on Wednesday, UTA's student-athletes so Monday as an opportunity to just help build relationships to get the student's support.
"We are just out here helping get the students moved in, it is an exciting time of the year so we are getting ourselves out in the community and build some relationships," UTA basketball player DJ Bryan said.
