ARLINGTON - Tickets for the exciting 2019 home slates for UT Arlington baseball at Clay Gould Ballpark and Maverick softball are on sale now at UTATickets.com
Tickets are available for $75 for baseball, while softball's price is $50. All seating is general admission.
Head coach
Darin Thomas and the Mavs return three starters from last year's team that finished the season 22-35 overall and went 11-19 in Sun Belt play. The 2019 schedule for UTA baseball includes 24 home contests, including five games against three teams (Baylor (1), Coastal Carolina (3), Dallas Baptist (1)) that participated in the 2018 NCAA postseason.
The Mavericks home slate begins with a single-game matchup against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 20), followed by the UTA Classic (Feb. 22-24). The Mavs will play four games during the Classic, including a pair against Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 22 and Feb. 24) and two versus Wichita State (Feb. 23 and Feb. 24).
Maverick softball has one of the most exciting home schedules in program history with nonconference action featuring home games against Texas, Arkansas (doubleheader) and Oklahoma State to go with a tough Sun Belt schedule in one of the most competitive conferences in the nation.
Softball is coming off back-to-back 30-win seasons after UTA advanced into the postseason for the first time in program history last year, reaching the NISC Championship round. UTA swept its ways through the Conway Regional with two wins over Texas Tech and a win over host Central Arkansas.
"We have some great opponents coming to Arlington this season to get excited about," UTA coach
Peejay Brun said. "This will be one of the best seasons to get involved with this program as a season ticket holder with teams like Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma State coming to play on our home turf as well as the very compeitive Sun Belt Conference. We have began a tradition of having a great crowd around this team and every bit of support helps this team. We want to create a home field advantage in Arlington and make this a great place to play at for many years to come for our Mavericks."
