LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The UT Arlington volleyball team picked up 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-22) sweep over Little Rock at Jack Stephens Center on Friday night (Oct. 4).
With the win, the Mavericks improve to 10-5 overall and 2-1 in Sun Belt action, while the Trojans fall to 2-13 on the season and 0-3 in league play.
Brooke Townsend led the Mavs with 12 kills on the night. She also added eight digs.
Kylie Jedlicka finished with 10 kills, four digs and a pair of blocks.
Bre Walp and
Madison Hill chipped in the nine kills and seven kills, respectively.
Madelyn St. Germain finished with a match-high 23 digs, while UTA's setters
Jessica Stancliff and
Kylee Kapp helped run the Maverick offense and recorded 21 and 15 assists, respectively.
UTA outhit Little Rock .274-.217, while the Trojans won the block battle 11-9.
UP NEXT
The Mavericks will return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they travel to Jonesboro, Ark. to take on the Red Wolves of Arkansas State. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
