CONWAY, S.C. – The UTA Baseball team fought hard and erased a 4-run deficit in the ninth, but fell to the host squad Coastal Carolina 14-13 in 10 innings.
The Mavs end the season with a 32-26 overall record.
Connor Aube finished with night 5-for-5 with four runs scored and an RBI. Aube's five hits tied a Sun Belt Championships record for hits in a single game. It marked the eighth time a player has recorded five hits in a tournament game.
Will Olson went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and five RBI.
Josh Minjarez finished 4-of-6 and
Zac Cook went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.
Andrew Miller finished 1-for-5 with a homer and two RBI.
UTA got on the board first, scoring three runs to open the game.

Anthony Dominguez grounding out to score Cook. The final run of the frame came off the bat of
Andrew Miller, who launched his sixth homer of the season to give the Mavs a 3-0 lead early.
Coastal responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first, thanks to a 2-run home run from Zach Biermann (3-2).
The Mavericks put up four runs in the second on five hits and a pair of Chanticleer errors (7-2).
Coastal Carolina got an RBI-single in the top bottom of the third to pull within four runs (7-3).
Josh Minjarez stepped in the box in the top of the fourth and singled through the left side to score Miller and push the Maverick lead up to five runs (8-3).
Kyle Skeels hit a 2-run homer to left field in the bottom of the sixth to get the hosts within three runs (8-5).
UTA got one back in the bottom of the seventh inning when Dominguez reached on a drop fly ball and Aube came across to score (9-5).
Coastal exploded for six runs in the bottom of the seventh, with the biggest hit beng Skeels' second homer of the night (a 3-run shot) to give the host team an 11-9 lead.
The Chants added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning (13-9), but UTA didn't fold. The Mavs loaded the bases in the top of the ninth with two outs.
Will Olson stepped in and hit a grand slam to tie the game at 13-13.
In the tenth inning Zach Biermann hit his third homer of the night and lifted the Chants to the 14-13 win.
