ARLINGTON – UT Arlington volleyball (8-3. 8-3 SBC) wrapped up the weekend with a 3-0 (19-25, 14-25, 21-25) defeat at the hands of No. 13 Texas State (16-1, 11-0 SBC) on Saturday afternoon at College Park Center.
Brooke Townsend led UTA with nine kills and nine digs.
Brianna Ford added eight kills, while
Mollie Blank registered 16 assists and had the squad's lone ace.
Kylee Kapp finished with 13 assists, five digs, and a kill.
Alli Wells tallied a match-high 12 digs and
Alyssa Duran racked up 11 digs in the loss.
Tyeranee Scott finished with a match-high 13 kills (.522 hitting percentage), while Janell Fitzgerald added 11 kills and six blocks. Emily DeWalt chipped in with 35 assists, eight digs, and three kills.
UTA will be back in action next weekend (Nov. 6-7) when they host Louisiana (15-4, 9-4 SBC) in a 3-match series. First serve for the series opener on Friday, Nov. 6 is set for 11 a.m., followed by match two at 6 p.m. The series finale will be Saturday, Nov. 7 (1 p.m.).
