Lady Mavs Set To Host D2 St. Edward’s

ARLINGTON – Looking to bounce back after a tough loss at SFA (Dec. 8), the UT Arlington Lady Mavs return to College Park Center for a matchup with the Hilltoppers of St. Edward's on Sunday afternoon (Dec. 13). Tip-off for the contest is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Due to the short turnaround time, no fans or media will be admitted into the arena. Only those on the player-pass lists of the respective teams will be permitted into the College Park Center. Additionally, the game will not be video streamed (ESPN+), but fans can follow the action via live stats and social media.

Sunday will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

UP NEXT
UTA will head to South Padre Island before Christmas to participate in the South Padre Island Classic. The Lady Mavs face UNT (Dec. 18) and UTRGV (Dec. 19) during the event.

THANKS COVID
Due to the program's positive COVID test result (Nov. 25) and not being cleared by medical professionals in time, the Lady Mavericks were forced to cancel four games, including contests against Midwestern State (Nov. 29) and Rice (Dec. 2), at Kansas State (Dec. 6) and versus Houston (Dec. 8).

The program was also forced to pause all team activities after a member of its Tier 1 personnel tested positive for COVID-19. UTA was notified of the positive result within the program's Tier 1 personnel following the Nov. 25 season-opener versus Texas A&M-Commerce. Tier 1 members include student-athletes, coaches, team managers and support staff.

SCOUTING SEU
- St. Edwards opened the 2020-21 season with an exhibition against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday night. SEU fell to Corpus Christi 78-70.
- SEU trailed by 21 after three quarters, but outscored TAMCC 25-12 in the final quarter to make it respectable.
- The Hilltoppers finished the 2019-20 season with an 18-11 overall record and went 13-9 in Lone Star Conference play.
- Last season, SEU won five of their final six regular season games and won their LSC Tournament first round game before falling to West Texas A&M in the conference quarterfinals.
