ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's tennis team (9-3) swept Texas A&M Corpus Christi at the UTA Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon 4-0 to push their winning streak to four.
The Mavericks jumped out to lead after taking the doubles matches.Â
Angel Diaz and
Miguel Cabrera took down Guillermo Castaneda and Thomas Rodriguez 6-1 on Court Three before
Alejandro Hayen and
Alan Sau Franco defeated Ryuya Ata and Kyohei Tamanaka 6-4 on Court One.
In singles play, #110
Angel Diaz took Court One 6-1, 6-4 to quickly put the Mavericks up 2-0.Â
Alan Sau Franco followed up with a 6-1, 6-2 win in the No. 4 position before
Alejandro Hayen finished the match with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 win to clinch the match for the Mavericks.
UTA will be back at the UTA Tennis Center on Friday, March 14 against The Citadel.
