@UTAMavsMBB Adds Utah State Transfer Carson Bischoff

ARLINGTON – The UT Arlington men's basketball team bolstered its roster this week with the addition of Division-I transfer Carson Bischoff, head coach Chris Ogden announced.
 
The 6-foot-4 guard will be immediately eligibility for the Mavericks after redshirting as a junior at Mountain West Conference member Utah State in 2019-20. Bischoff (pronounced: BISH-off) with have two years with the Mavs.
 
A native of Ogden, Utah, Bischoff transferred to Utah State after spending his sophomore season at Treasure Valley Community College in Oregon for the 2018-19 campaign. While there, he finishing 2nd on the team with 19.7 points per game and scored in double figures in all but two contests during the year.
 
The 210-pound Bischoff led TVCC on the glass by corralling 6.6 rebounds per outing, issued 2.6 assists per game and recorded 1.6 steals per contest. He shot 43 percent (135-314) from the floor, 39.1 percent (75-192) from the 3-point line and 81 percent (68-84) at the free-throw line. Bischoff logged 13 games of at least 20 points, including three contests with 30 or more. He scored a career-high 34 points against Mt. Hood Community College.
 
Bischoff spent his freshman season at Utah State University Eastern in 2017-18 after graduating from Weber High School. In high school, he earned First Team All-Region honors as a senior in 2016-17 after averaging 15.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He helped Weber to a Utah State Tournament appearance that senior year after also aiding the Warriors to a regional title and state quarterfinal trip as a sophomore.
