"I am so excited to welcome these five young ladies to the Maverick Family," said Wright. "We really took our time to get the know them and their families and we feel they will be great additions. This class will add depth and size to all positions. More importantly, they love the game and understand the expectations when they arrive on campus."
Below is more information on the signing class including thoughts from Wright as well as highlight videos and photos.
NICOLE SANFILIPPO
Guard | 5-9 | White Plains, N.Y. | Arosley HS

Wright's Thoughts: "The first signee of the class. Nicole brings size and shooting ability on the perimeter. She has a high basketball IQ and does a great job of working on her game. Nicole has a great motor and moves well without the ball. She will be a great asset on the defensive end for us as she does a great job of playing the passing lanes and guarding the ball. Nicole had a great summer and we know she will have a great high school season."
ALEXSYAH "SMALLS" GOUDEAU
Guard | 5-10 | Tahlequah, Okla. | Tahlequah HS

Wright's Thoughts: "Smalls is a strong and athletic wing that will give us added depth on the perimeter. She is a three level scorer that will thrive in our system. She can finish at the rim through contact, has a solid mid-range game and can knock down the three. Her toughness and work ethic that she will bring into our system with be a huge addition."
BELLA RINGENBERG
Center | 6-3 | Sanger, Texas | Sanger HS

Wright's Thoughts: "Bella is a skilled post with great footwork and hands. I saw Bella for the first time this summer and was impressed with her fundamentals and touch around the rim. She will also be able to a defensive presence inside for us her shot block ability. Bella has a high ceiling and we cannot wait until she arrives on campus."
NYA THREATT
Guard | 5-6 | Houston, Texas | Dulles HS

Wright's Thoughts: "Nya is a quick and aggressive scoring guard. She has the ability to create for herself and others on the floor. She is a true point guard that will be able to run the team and provide scoring. She is very crafty with the ball in which allows her to be able to score in multiple ways on the floor. Nya had a great summer on the Under Armour circuit and we are thrilled to add her to the family."
TALEYAH JONES
Guard | 5-11 | Broken Arrow, Okla. | Broken Arrow HS

Wright's Thoughts: "Taleyah is a long and athletic wing that can score the ball. When I saw her this summer, she reminded me of former Lady Maverick Bre Wickware. Her length on the perimeter and versatility will be an added asset to the roster. Defensively, she is very active on the perimeter with her length and anticipation in passing lanes. Taleyah is only scratching the surface and we know once she gets into our system, she will have a great career at UTA."
