Box Score SAN ANTONIO - The UT Arlington men's tennis team played in the Roadrunner Invitational in San Antonio over the weekend, with multiple athletes performing well in the ITA Tournament.

Alan Sau Franco advanced to the semi-finals of A Draw, defeating Kyohei Yamanaka (Texas A&M CC; 6-1, 7-6(5)) and Dario Kmet (ACU; 7-6, 6-3) before falling to Joao Ceolin (UTSA) 3-6, 6-3, 7-10.

In B Draw, Solano Caffarena advanced to the championship match, but fell to Sviatoslav Gulin (UTSA) 6-3, 4-6, 7-10.  Caffarena defeated Riccardo Trione (Arkansas) 6-2, 6-2 in the opening round, while beating Javier Gonzalez (UTSA), 7-6, 5-7, 10-5 and Huntley Allen (SMU) 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 in the next two rounds.

Miguel Cabrera won his opening match in the B Draw, defeating Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez (Louisiana) in straight sets 6-2, 6-0, but fell to Sviatoslav Gulin (UTSA) 6-7, 0-6. 

In C Draw, Nick Beamish won his opening round 5-7, 6-0, 13-11 over Garrett Skelly (UTSA), but fell to Jake Sweeney (Arkansas) 6-3, 6-1. Cabrera would rebound in the North stage, advancing to the championship match against Javier Gonzalez (UTSA), where Gonzalez would win 6-3, 6-4. 

In D Draw, Ricardo Alban advanced to the semi-finals as well, defeating Jose Maria Rastrojo (ACU), 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 before falling to Miguel Alonso (UTSA) 6-1, 1-6, 3-10.
