ARLINGTON – The women's basketball game between UT Arlington and South Alabama scheduled for this coming Thursday, Jan. 6, in Arlington has been canceled due to COVID protocols within the Jaguars program.
The Lady Mavs will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 8 as they open up Sun Belt Conference play at home against Troy. Tip-off for that contest is scheduled for 2 p.m.
UTA sits at 8-3 overall and 2-0 in the Sun Belt. The Lady Mavs picked up a pair of wins over Louisiana and ULM on the road last week.
Starr Jacobs was named SBC Player of the Week for her efforts.
