ARLINGTON - The UT Arlington volleyball team will host a preseason exhibition match against Dallas Baptist inside the College Park Center on Friday at 2 p.m.
The match won't be streamed or feature live stats, but admission is free, and the first 200 fans through the door will get a UTA volleyball promotional schedule magnet.
The Mavericks are coming off a 12-15 finish overall in 2021, including a 9-7 record in their final season in Sun Belt Conference play.
Briana Brown was named First Team All-Sun Belt while
Alli Wells was named to the Second Team. Both players return this year, along with 12 others, while the squad welcomes four new student-athletes.
Following Friday's exhibition, UTA will begin the regular season on the road, traveling to Missoula, Mont., for the Farmers State Bank Invitational hosted by the University of Montana Aug. 26-27. The Mavs then host their home opener the following weekend as part of the annual UTA Classic Sept. 2-3. For more info about this year's schedule, which features the program's WAC entrance, visit
