LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The UT Arlington men's golf team wrapped up the team portion of its 2023-24 fall schedule on Tuesday from Little Rock's Everett Buick GMC Classic at Chenal Country Club.
Daniel Cronje led the Mavericks in the final round with a 73, but it was
Hiroki Miya finishing as UTA's low man for the week at -1 despite a closing round of 76.

MIYA
The New Zealand native entered the day just three shots back of the lead and looked primed for a low round after Monday's 2nd-round 66. But Miya couldn't quite get anything rolling as he finished with four bogeys and no birdies en route to a final-round 76 (+4).
CRONJE
Cronje, starting on the 14th hole, carded a double on the par-4 15th and did his best to recover by posting five birdies. However, four bogeys ultimately pushed the fifth year to a 73 (+1) – the aforementioned lowest of any Mav on Tuesday.
GRIESSEL
The Washington native also couldn't get anything rolling, posting three birdies, four bogeys and a double to finish with a 75 (+3).
KANTH
The Englishman opened his round productively, recording just one birdie and one bogey in his first 15 holes. But a bogey on 13, and a double on 14 – his 16th and 17th holes of the day, respectively – resulted in the graduate transfer signing for a final-round 75 (+3).
PARSONS
The Tulsa native was able to settle down and keep doubles off his scorecard for the first time this week. The junior transfer finished with three birdies and six bogeys to cap off his week with a 75 (+3).
THIS AND THAT
UTA ranked 3rd in the tournament in pars with 160 … Kanth and Griessel both led the Mavs and ranked tied for 10th in the field with 34 pars … Miya ranked T-12 in par-4 scoring average with a 4.03 (+1).
NEXT UP
While this is UTA's final team tournament of the fall, the Mavs will have a few players compete as individuals at Dallas Baptist's event this coming Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 23-24, from the Golf Club of Dallas. More information, when finalized, will be posted on UTAMavs.com.
As for the team overall, UTA will have a 15-week hiatus before it opens up the spring season south of the border at the Los Vaqueros in Cancun, Mexico, at Playa Paraiso Golf Club from Feb. 5-7.
