WELLS APPROACHES HISTORY
Alli Wells added 18 more digs to her career tally on Thursday against Southern Utah, pushing her career total to 1,965, which puts her just 35 away from the 2,000 milestone and 69 away from breaking Alicia Shaffer's (2,033, 2008-11) all-time program record. Additionally, the graduate libero has produced 96 career outings with double-digit digs, including 69 with at least 15 and 42 with 20-or-more.
SERIES HISTORY
Similar to Thursday's opponent - Southern Utah - the Mavs enter Saturday's tilt against Utah Tech having only met them once previously. That came Nov. 10 last year in Arlington where the Trailblazers produced a five-set victory that included a 20-18 score in the final frame.
HISTORY MAKER
Interestingly, that match against Utah Tech last year produced five combined double-doubles, highlighted by a 29-assist, 27-dig performance from
Mollie Blank in which she became one of just three players in the program's history since 1987 to tally at least 25 assists and 25 digs in a match, joining Shawn Sweeten and Heidi Christensen.
UTA players with 25+ assists, 25+ digs in a match since 1987

Shawn Sweeten - 11 kills, 66 assists, 33 digs vs. Arizona (11/26/88)

REAGOR ASCENDING
Over the past three matches, senior middle blocker
Paige Reagor has totaled 50 kills at a .363 clip with 22 blocks. She is coming off a season-best 23 kills in Thursday's win over Southern Utah, and last weekend against Tarleton she became the first UTA volleyball player to record a double-double in kills and blocks since Briana Sharatt totaled 10 kills and 11 blocks against Texas Southern on Sept. 12, 2014. In fact, Reagor produced just the 20th kill-block double-double in the program's history since 1987, and she's just the 12th player since then to record at least one.
