BOULDER, Colo. – The UT Arlington women's basketball team (1-7, 0-2 WAC) are on the road once more as they plunge back into non-conference play, traveling to Boulder to take on the 8th-ranked Buffaloes of Colorado (8-1, 0-0 PAC 12).

GOOD AS ADVERTISED
Avery Brittingham is living up to the expectations as the First-Team All WAC performer from a season ago at Stephen F. Austin, is showing why Coach Wright went after her in the transfer portal. She has done a little bit of everything for the Lady Mavs, leading UTA in several statistical categories such as points per game (12.5), rebounds per game (8.9), assists (22), steals (14), three-point percentage (.385).

Through eight games this season, Brittingham has posted a double-double in four of those contests. This has her tied for 13th in the country and sits alone at the top of the WAC leaderboards.

Brittingham has also been a menace on the boards in the infant stages of the season, averaging 8.9 rebounds per contest to lead the Lady Mavs which also has her ranked 57th in the NCAA and 1st in the WAC. In those eight games, Brittingham has pulled down 71 rebounds, 1st in the conference and 50th in the country. She seems to be at her best on the defensive end where she averages 7.2 boards per game on defense, which is tops in the WAC and 21st in the NCAA.

FROM THE CHARITY STRIPE
The Lady Mavs are one of the best teams in the country when it comes to getting to the free throw line, averaging 19.88 free throw attempts per game. This is the 80th best mark in the country and 3rd best in the WAC behind California Baptist (27.17 - 5th in NCAA) and SFA (24.86 - 11th in NCAA).

The 14.12 free throws made per game has the Lady Mavs 4th in the WAC and 82nd in the NCAA while their 71.1-percent from the charity stripe is 3rd best in the conference.

MAKING IT RAIN
The Lady Mavs 30.7 percentage from beyond the arc is the 4th best three-point percentage in the WAC while their 5.9 three pointers per game is the 5th best mark in the conference.

Taliyah Clark and
Hannah Humphrey lead the charge for the Lady Mavs, with the pair hitting 12 three-pointers so far this season to pace UTA.

The Lady Mavs drained 11 three-pointers in their first contest of the 2023-24 season. They went 11-22 from beyond the arc for a .500 shooting percentage.

The Lady Mavs sport one of the better benches in the WAC, averaging 20.1 points per game, this has UTA 5th in the conference. Humphrey leads the charge averaging 8.1 points per game.

UTA is one of the better teams in the WAC when it comes to taking care of the basketball, coming in at 4th overall in the conference.

Gia Adams is 3rd in the WAC with 100 field goal attempts. She is shooting 37-percent from the floor and is second on the team with 12.1 points per game.

This is the first time in program history that these two teams square off against one another.

SCOUTING COLORADO
Colorado dropped a spot to No. 8 in the AP rankings after going 2-0 last week. The team's upset over then No. 1 LSU propelled CU into the top 5 for the first time since 1995. It was the team's second win over a No. 1 opponent, both wins coming under head coach JR Payne. All of CU's games this season have been decided by 10+ points Colorado has three wins of 30+ this season. CU ranks 10th in the NCAA with 20.7 assists per game. Colorado has scored 20+ points in 24 quarters of 35 quarters this season.

The Lady Mavs will have an 11-day break before returning to action as they travel to Huntsville to take on former conference foe Sam Houston at the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. central time.
