ARLINGTON, Texas– The UT Arlington women's tennis team (6-1) continued their winning streak at home on Sunday, sweeping UT Dallas and Collin College 7-0 without dropping a set.
 
The Mavericks took the doubles point in both matches, allowing their opponents no more than one game per set.
 
Tara Gorinsek and Ana Paula Jimenez improved their doubles record to 5-1 with two wins on Court 1. They defeated Rebecca Jackson and Saumya Vedula from UTD 6-1, followed by Viktoriia Fedorova and Lari Giraldi Correa from Collin College 6-0.
 
Liz Chileno and Sarina Reinertsen also hold a 5-1 record after earning a 6-1 win over UTD. Bruna Casasampere and Francisca Vergara also picked up a 6-0 win over Collin.
 
The Mavs were able to follow up the doubles wins with solid singles play, winning each court in straight sets.
 
Jimenez picked up the first win of the day against UTD without dropping a game. She defeated Elyssa Ducret 6-0, 6-0 on Court 4. She then defeated Jhastine Red Ballado from Collin College 6-0, 6-3, continuing her 4-match undefeated streak.
 
Vergara also remains undefeated after tallying two more wins over the Comets and Cougars. After a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Megan Zeng from UTD, she followed up with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Sofia Gonzalez de la Vega from Collin. She holds a 5-0 record for the spring season.
 
Chileno continued to see success after defeating both of her opponents on Court 1. With a 6-2, 6-3 victory over UTD and a 6-0, 6-0 win over Collin, she also stays undefeated with a 5-0 record.
 
Reinertsen dominated on Court 2, adding two more wins to her singles record. She defeated Vedula from UTD 6-2, 6-0, then ended with another 6-2, 6-0 victory over Fedorova from Collin.
 
Nika Novikova earned her first singles wins of the spring season on Court 6, allowing her opponents only three games. She defeated Tisha Nakakes-Nguyen from UTD 6-2, 6-0, followed by Margaryta Bugaienko from Collin 6-0, 6-1.
 
Casasampere added two more wins for the Mavericks at the No. 3 position. She defeated Jackson from UTD 6-2, 6-2 in her first match of the day. After winning the first set 7-5 over Collin, she took care of business in the second, winning 6-3.
 
The Mavericks will be back in action on Friday to face No. 47 ranked Texas Tech at 1 p.m. at the UTA Tennis Center.
